Malala Yousafzai, a 16-year-old student from Pakistan, has become famous for her work promoting the importance of education and empowerment of women in Pakistan and throughout the world. In 2012, she was attacked by Taliban gunmen while returning home from school. Though she was shot in the head, she survived and continues to speak out about education. This year, she became the youngest person ever to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Come in to the library to check out Malala's book and read her amazing story! The Daily Show
